Camposition begins 2012 with loads of gratitude. Artistic Director Octavio Campos has been busy traveling and collaborating and cooking up new projects internationally. This year he received the 2012 Miami Dade Choreographers Fellowship for the 3rd time for his new work The Pig Show which premiered this summer at the Melbourne Fringe Festival in Australia. Another huge feat was the launch of the PLEASE DON'T HATE ME! Campaign with Intention Intervention at Sleepless Night 2011. In 2012 Camposition will create rare opportunities and experiences once again to be provoked in a visceral way presenting PERFORMANCE not as spectator sport but as a direct social dialogue with you. Over the next several months we will be working on the PLEASE DON’T HATE ME, website and launch the interviews from the Intention Intervention film created by NuFrontier Pictures, a double Miami Premiere - SOLO for PINA, created by Artistic Director Octavio Campos for the Miami-premier of the Oscar nominated 3D film by Wim Wenders - PINA. We will also be presenting a new installment of The Field Miami and yet again another year of creating new work with residencies and tours throughout the US, Cuba, Domincan Republic and Australia. We invite you to explore our website, be adventurous and take risks with us in 2012 and become an ACTIONIST. It is NOT THE END, but the opportunity to BEGIN AGAIN.
